Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we are asked most about the hideouts, bedding, chew toys and habitats for small animals we stock, plus the practical detail on orders, delivery and returns.
About our products
Which bedding is safe for guinea pigs and rabbits?
Paper-based bedding is the usual choice for respiratory-sensitive species. We list the material on every pack; softwood shavings are not stocked for that reason.
How big should a cage be?
Bigger than the box says. Guinea pigs need floor area far more than height, which is why modular C&C-style habitats are stocked alongside standard cages.
Why do rabbits and guinea pigs need chew toys?
Their teeth grow continuously. Untreated wood, hay-based chews and rattan work is dental equipment, not entertainment.
Are washable liners better than disposable bedding?
They cut running costs and waste, but need laundering on a schedule. Many owners use a liner base with a bedding corner in the toilet area.
What are your hours?
